2026 Fireworks Display

The fireworks display celebrating Bastille Day, which is normally scheduled for July 14, 2026, will exceptionally take place on July 13, 2026—the day before.

In fact, the date was changed to allow for a tribute on July 14 to the victims of the attack that took place 10 years earlier, on July 14, 2016, in Nice.
A truck plowed into pedestrians on the crowded Promenade des Anglais, injuring more than a hundred people and killing 96, including about 15 children.

A terrible memory for many residents of Nice—and for all French people.
