July 14, 2022 - Sharing the Flame

This year's parade slogan is "Sharing the Flame".

It is a reference to the flame of French sporting and academic excellence and to the hosting of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
It is also a reference to the flame of the Nation, guarantor of a rich memorial heritage and a tribute to the resilience shown by the Armed Forces and the French people in the face of contemporary challenges.

The July 14 military parade is the unmissable meeting of the French with their army. Since 1980, the ceremony takes place on the Champs-Élysées avenue.
