Concorde Bridge - Paris

Concorde Bridge - Paris

The bridge is symbolic because it was built using ashlar from the demolition of the Bastille prison, when it was demolished after being stormed on July 14, 1789 during the French Revolution...
"So that the people could continually trample the ancient fortress underfoot".
On either side of the Concorde Bridge are the Palais Bourbon and the Assemblée Nationale, and on the other, the Place de la Concorde.
The bridge was renovated for the last time in 1983.

For the Olympic Games in 2024, it was used to host many competitions.
