Bridge of Arts
Share
Le Pont des Arts or Passerelle des Arts is a pedestrian bridge.
It links the Institut de France and the central square (Cour Carrée) of the Palais du Louvre, which had been called the "Palais des Arts" under the First French Empire.
For a time, tourists from all over the world used it to hang their love padlocks.
Today, it's the Debilly pedestrian bridge that plays this role.
Renovated for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, it welcomed Aya Nakamura for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics on the evening of July 26, 2024.
It was magnificent!
